What Diners Are Saying

Mar 29 2010 | OpenTable
"This location is perfect!"
A bit small but chic and cozy. Your breath is taken away at the detail emphasized in the restoration of this very historic building. The open beam construction and exposed hand cut granite walls clash with modern decor in perfect contemporary harmony. The management over look no detail here!!! I wouldn't want to forget to mention the amazing food prepared by Chef Noah. Your epicurean desire to escape the south coast can be met with these amazingly high quality tapas and seafood entrees! I guarantee you'll forget you['re] in New Bedford and think you['re] in Miami or LA, that is until the check arrives at the table. What a Value!

About Cork

picture

90 Front Street. Constructed in 1836, the building was first occupied on the first floor as a pump and block maker's shop, while the second story was a boat builder's shop until after 1880. In its second life, it housed a boiler repair business until approximately 1980. The building was abandoned until Peter DeWalt purchased the building in 2004 and began renovations. In the summer of 2005, together with Richard Cardoza, the idea was dreamt up for a wine and tapas bar... and the rest, as they say, was Cork history.
